maintaining the ideal germination temperature easy, giving you a head start in germinating seeds and seedlings. The heating mat can raise the temperature of the root area to 10-20 degrees above the ambient temperature. The heat mat provides even and constant heating of the soil. Seeds germinate faster and easier, and the higher temperature also encourages vigorous root growth in seedlings.
