Echinocactus Grusonii

Echinocactus grusonii, popularly known as the golden barrel cactus, golden ball or mother-in-law's cushion, is a well known species of cactus, and is endemic to east-central Mexico. It is rare and endangered in the wild, where it is found near Mesa de León in the state of Querétaro, and in the state of Hidalgo. 

Care

During the active summer growth, Echinocactus grusonii needs regularly watering. This plant needs a lot of water, but it can not be soaked, the soil must dry between waterings. When watering, you need to ensure that water drops do not fall on the body of the cactus at a time when the sun is shining on it.
